Agios Dimitrios Beach

Description

The beach of Agios Dimitrios is located on the east coast of the island of Alonissos about 9 km from the Patitiri.

You can choose to reach it with a scooter / car or for those who do not have a vehicle there is a tourist bus that on Wednesday and Friday leaves from the port of Patitiri and with 10 € per person (round trip) takes you to visit this beach that is among the beautiful of the island.

Considered one of the most beautiful beaches on the island of Alonissos, it is among the largest and most visited, maintaining a more assaulted part by tourists and a more relaxing and perfect part for those who prefer tranquility and relaxation.

The first impact that one has on arrival is to find oneself in front of a large lake with crystal clear waters, thanks to the lack of waves, which are almost absent on the shore. The peculiarity of this beach is that it is a strip of wet land on both sides, one of which is more exposed to the winds (so depending on the day you can choose which side to stay on).

Agios Dimitrios is the beach that everyone considers a small earthly paradise for the colors of its sea and its beach with many small white stones that give the sea an amazing transparency, to the point that you can swim even without a mask and have a splendid view of the seabed.

This beach is considered one of the largest on the island and is perfect both for those looking for an equipped beach thanks to the presence of sunbeds and umbrellas (6 € per day), 2 taverns for exceptional snacks and lunches and at amazing costs and inflatable for the children (bearing in mind that the island is not very equipped for families, this beach can be perfect for those traveling with children).

Whether you are a lover of the most touristic beaches or those that are more relaxing and isolated, know that everyone will be satisfied here.

Don't miss it !!
