Agios Pavlos Beach

Agios Pavlos beach is located on the north-western coast of the island of Amorgos, about 8 kilometers from the village of Aegialis, opposite the islet of Nikouria and is considered one of the most beautiful beaches on the island.

It is an evocative tongue of sand mixed with gravel, bathed by a calm, crystalline and iridescent sea, with infinite shades of emerald green and turquoise.

This extraordinary beach will leave you speechless for its strange shape that changes according to the tides and ends with a long peninsula of about 100 meters. We advise you to take a walk to the end and stop in one of the coves that you will find along the coast, where you can lie in the sun in complete relaxation.

The sea of this splendid bay is very clear, calm and sheltered from the winds. If you don't like windy areas, Agios Pavlos is the one for you! Here you can relax with at most a pleasant sea breeze.

What does Agios Pavlos beach offer?

There are several tourist services, in addition to the classic sun beds and umbrellas you will find behind it a nice restaurant serving tasty traditional cuisine and a bar with swimming pool.

Excursions by boat depart every day from Agios Pavlos to the island of Nicouria and its three magnificent sandy beaches. In the high season the boat service starts at 11.00 am and ends at 19.00.

How to get to Agios Pavlos beach

Agios Pavlos is located shortly after the tiny rocky bay of Limineraki and can be easily reached by car, as it is very close to the main road. Or, if you don't have a rental vehicle, you can reach it by bus, which will leave you near the beach.

Our advice

Being a very popular and popular beach, we advise you to arrive early, if you do not want to find too crowded, especially in high season.

However, do not miss one of the most beautiful places in Amorgos, even just to take some photos with the picturesque Nikouria islet as a background!
