Vai Beach

Vai Beach

Description

Vai beach is located on the east coast of Crete, east of Sitia and Aghios Nikolaos. It is a small bay characterized by the presence of natural palm trees, it is the only beach in Europe where this happened!

In addition to palm trees, it also has many rocks, crystal clear water, sand mixed with pebbles and rocky bottom. In fact it would be great to practice some snorkeling! Also you can climb on some rocks equipped to admire the view from above and take memorable photos!

The beach is equipped with sunbeds and umbrellas (limited number), bathrooms, a bar, a restaurant and a stand for water games! It also has stretches of free beach. Just go to the right and look at the sea, go beyond the panoramic terrace and you'll reach a secluded sandy beach. If this doesn't satisfy you, go on passing the path among the stones and beyond the umbrellas you can catch a glimpse of small secluded corners, great for relaxing!

Vai beach can be reached by car along a deserted road that is a bit tortuous, surrounded by rocks and olive groves! You can park your car in the paid parking lot for about € 3 and then go enjoy the beach! We recommend arriving early to find a place!

You can't miss this little gem of Crete!
