Agios Nikolaos Beach

Agios Nikolaos beach is located on the west coast of the island of Folegandros. Here you will find sand mixed with pebbles, lapped by splendid crystal clear waters and surrounded by numerous saplings that provide a little shade to the bathers. In Agios Nikolaos you will find peace and tranquility, as well as some nudists, being a very popular beach among the latter.

What do I find on Agios Nikolaos beach?

In Agios Nikolaos beach you will find only a tavern, where you can taste excellent fresh fish accompanied by a wonderful sea view, and a bar where you can go to sip a nice refreshing drink, taste a good Greek coffee or munch on a snack to break the hunger.

In the bay you will not find sunbeds and umbrellas to rent, because Agios Nikolaos does not need them. The trees that enrich the bay guarantee swimmers a lot of natural shade while the soft sand allows a perfect rest!

If during your relaxation you are looking for something to do we recommend you to do some snorkeling. Admire the beautiful seabed full of fish to be discovered!

How do I get to Agios Nikolaos beach?

To reach the beach of Agios Nikolaos there are two ways: on foot or by taxi boat. In the first case, you will have to start from Ano Meria and follow a path not shaded and full of scattered stones here and there, therefore we suggest you to use comfortable shoes and to cross it in the early hours of the morning. After about 40 minutes the beautiful scenery of the bay will be revealed before your eyes, and there you will understand that all those efforts have not been in vain, indeed, your effort will be very well rewarded!

In the second case, or with the taxi boat, the effort will not exist. Take one of the local boats that leave every half hour from Agali beach and in just 5 minutes you will already be with your feet immersed in the soft sand. The disadvantage of the taxi boat is that you will arrive together with all the other visitors, therefore the "intimate" atmosphere could be lost.
