Manganari Beach

Manganari beach is located 23 km south of Chora, it is considered as one of the most beautiful and picturesque beaches on the island of Ios. It is a beautiful place that contains 5 coves with golden sand and gravel bathed by transparent crystalline waters, which have backdrops that rapidly degrade on the shore and then go back up to the sea.
Thanks to the distance from the capital Chora, the beach remains a paradise away from the chaos of the crowd for most of the day, in fact this is a fantastic opportunity to explore its natural environment.

What can I find on Manganari beach?

How to get to Manganari beach?

Manganari beach can be reached by car or scooter, to get there you will have to start from the capital Chora and take a road with curves and ups and downs and lined with lush vegetation. Before the monastery of Kalamos turn right, shortly after you will find yourself in front of the bay of Manganari. Alternatively, you can either use the scheduled buses connected to the main tourist destinations, or one of the boats that leave from the port of Ormos.
