Located south of Chora, very close to the island's harbor, Kolitsani beach offers tourists an absolutely incredible landscape: golden sand, emerald green reflections and all around rocky hills, interspersed with green trees. A wild nature that you can hardly find in any other area of Ios.
From Chora you can reach Kolitsani beach on foot in about 20 minutes, via a rather steep staircase, or by crossing a path that runs along the hill.
It is a very quiet and secluded bay, little frequented and appreciated by the numerous nudists who frequent Ios. In the months of July and August it is obviously more crowded, due to the increase in the tourist flow. At that time we advise you to arrive early if you like tranquility.
The beach of Kolitsani does not offer any equipment, so remember to bring water and food with you if you want to spend the whole day here in contact with the magical nature of Ios!
