Psathi Beach

Description

Right in front of the small village of Psathi, located along the eastern coast of the island of Ios, there is a beautiful beach little frequented by tourists, an ideal destination for those in search of peace and tranquility.

The beach of Psathi is made up of two different beaches that still maintain a wild and uncontaminated aspect, distant mass tourism. Fine and golden sand, where here and there check some stone, which plunges into the waters of a beautiful turquoise color.

To get there it takes 30 minutes by car from the port and along the way you can admire breathtaking views. Easily accessible by bus from the port of Yalos and the Chora village!

The long stretch of sand is quiet and peaceful, with very few tourists coming here to spend their day. On days when the wind is blowing strongly it fills up more, because windsurfers come here to challenge the waves with their board. In any case, the Psathi beach does not offer any services, there are only a dozen umbrellas, completely free, without sunbeds.

We advise you to bring plenty of water and something to eat. Or you can take a long break from the sea and get to the nearest restaurants, located right along the coastal road, where you can taste the typical dishes of the local tradition.

Behind the beach there are typical terraces of the island's hinterland, where small characteristic houses are perched.

If you love silence and tranquility, Psathi beach is your ideal destination!
