Amoopi Beach

Amoopi beach is located on the southeast coast of the island of Karpathos and is divided into two coves.
Amoopi is the beach that all lovers of fine sand are looking for! And if you also have a family who loves snorkeling with this beach, you will please everyone, because the marine flora is very rich around the rocks.

Amoopi beach has a small village behind it where there are apartments, residences, hotels, taverns, restaurants and cafés.
From our point of view this beach is one of the best for its fine sand (which everyone always likes), for the gently sloping seabed, for the proximity to Pigadia which is a key point and where you will often stop (where already you should not stay there) and for the services always available for a snack or a fish-based lunch.

Amoopi beach is divided into two parts: on the right a smaller beach, with coarser sand and perfect for snorkeling. On the left, very fine golden sand.

How do you reach Amoopi beach?

Amoopi a small pearl between fine sand and enchanting sea! From Pigadia, the capital of the island, it can be reached by car in just under 15 minutes (about 7 km), along the coastal road heading south, towards the airport.

Reaching this beach is very simple and pleasant, because the road you are going to take is completely panoramic, including the descent to the beach.

What services does Amoopi beach offer?

Certainly because of its sand, its sea that leaves you breathless and its easy position sheltered from the wind, it becomes a very popular destination!

Its sea slopes gently and is therefore perfect if you travel with children.

If you are looking for a little more tranquility we advise you to move north, here there is a cove called Pouliou Potami, it is not equipped and has pebbles, rocks, two interesting caves that you can use to shelter from the sun and the sea a little more deep, but relaxation is guaranteed! You can recognize it for a group of old sun beds and umbrellas tied to the rocks.

Amoopi beach is very comfortable and equipped with sun beds and umbrellas. We advise you not to arrive too late .. otherwise it will be difficult to find them available. Take a nice walk along the coast so that you can get to know all the coves that characterize it!
