Apella beach is considered one of the most beautiful beaches of Karpathos! It is characterized by a part of fine sand mixed with pebbles and a part of only pebbles.
Among other things, you can find an equipped part: with umbrellas, deck chairs and a bar including a small tavern where you can refresh and have a snack. And a free part where you can easily arrange yourself by taking everything you need from your accommodation, or why not? Get away from the sun under one of the many tamarisk trees that surround the beach!
The beach of Apella is located about 18 kilometers from Pigadia, near the village from which it takes its name. You can get there by car via a slightly winding road that in return for your "effort" will give you the view of the beach, a view that will seem surreal for its beauty ... you will be enchanted, try it!
If, on the other hand, you are without a car or the idea of driving doesn't like you so much, you can get there also by boat from the port of Pigadia, with the possibility of visiting other beaches!
Well, what to say ... Once you get there you will be amazed! The beach shows a calm and clear sea, with a thousand shades: from emerald green to light blue and finally to blue!
We recommend going early in the morning and spending the whole day on this wonderful beach! And if you are a snorkeling fan you are in the perfect place! Here the fish are many and multicolored!
