The beach of Damatria is a small clean beach, made of stones and with transparent water but after a few meters from the shore it becomes sandy, is characterized by beautiful colors tending to turquoise, a paradise!
It is located on the south-eastern side of the island of Karpathos on the way to the airport, in fact it is easily accessible passing the airport and proceeding towards Arkasa. The beach of Damatria looks like a wild place where there is peace and tranquility, due to the lack of crowding and the fact that it is not equipped.
The only and remarkable thing we can meet is the tavern located just above the beach whose chef is the winner of an edition of Masterchef Greece! If you want to eat well, sunbathe and relax quietly now you know where to go!
For the rest the beach boasts a sea similar to that of the Caribbean with a seabed that slopes gently and that, precisely because of this factor, makes it safe for families with children and ideal for swimming lovers!
On the right side of the beach there are rocks that form a natural pool full of fish, thanks to this it is excellent for snorkeling! But also for surfing or kite surfing due to the strong wind that often hits the bay!
In order to enjoy this wonder, we recommend going there in the morning and relaxing by the sea for the whole day!
