Diakoftis beach is located at the southernmost tip of the island of Karpathos.
Undoubtedly all the visitors of the island can't wait to reach it for its beauty and its appearance so much like an open-air swimming pool!
To reach it, just drive along the airport on a dirt road and long before you expect it, you'll find yourself in this paradise! Diakoftis beach has very fine, light and soft sand and its crystal clear sea makes it the most photographed and loved beach, despite being one of the most crowded.
Diakoftis beach is made up of 2 inlets, a larger one (with about forty umbrellas) and a smaller one (with only about ten). Keep in mind that here the wind is at home, so avoid to lie down directly on the sand .. It might not be a good idea ..
Definitely better to rent two sunbeds and an umbrella for € 10 a day. If you want to take a short lunch break, there is a bar / tavern available for all visitors.
A little curiosity: near the rocks you will find fabulous shells!
