Kato Lako beach is another unspoiled paradise that the wonderful island of Karpathos offers us.
Located a few kilometers north-east from the town of Pigadia this wild bay is difficult to reach without a 4x4 used by an experienced driver. In the absence of which you can walk the last 500 meters (the most difficult) on foot; a bit of effort but worth it.
Once in the vicinity of the bay you will be invaded by the strong scent of Mediterranean scrub and the deafening silence. The sea, a jewel of emerald, and the golden beach mixed with pebbles will leave you speechless.
It is advisable to go there in the morning due to its location, overlooking the mountain, which causes the sun to disappear towards the early afternoon.
Kato Lako beach is also characterized by the tourist flow of no more than 10 people per day. Equip yourself with water and food and go to explore this maritime desert that nature gives us, where the color of the water merges with the naturalistic landscape of the place.
