The beach of Agios Stefanos is located on the south coast of the island of Kos.
It is the most known and visited of all time. Every year tourists from all over Europe visit this beach and are fascinated by its peculiarity.
Just rent a car, drive in the direction of Kefalos and you will find yourself immersed in an atmosphere that is magical and unique. The beach of Agios Stefanos is located next to the rest of two early Christian basilicas and in front you can admire the islet of Kastri easily reachable by swimming, canoeing or a pedalo.
The beach equipped with sunbeds and umbrellas (€ 7 per day) is of sand mixed with fine gravel, which makes the sea water so crystal clear that it deserves a photo as soon as you arrive. This is the point where the water degrades slowly and therefore perfect for families with children and for those who do not like swimming in deep waters.
The view is so suggestive and unique, that this beach is the symbol of the island of Kos, which is often represented with photos of this beach.
