Pori beach is located about 4 km from the Chora. It is classified as the most beautiful beach in all of Koufonissi, in fact it is the most popular and sought after by visitors. It is a paradise of golden sand bathed by shallow turquoise waters, not only splendid but also extremely calm; mainly when the island is exposed to southern and western winds. On the other hand, when the northerly winds blow, the waters could be quite rough. Precisely for this reason the practitioners of Windsurf, Kite and in general water and wind sports, love to spend their days here when the Meltemi blows. Its waters become perfect for water sports lovers!
The most notable feature is by far the immensity of this beach, in fact thanks to its size this bay never fills up, no matter how many people there are, for the whole day you will feel like you are alone in an oasis of relaxation. What can I find on Pori beach?
In addition to relaxation, sun and natural beauty, the beach of Pori offers two bar-restaurants that will provide you with excellent dishes or snacks in times of hunger, but if you don't want to stop in one of these places to eat you can take your packed lunch with you and enjoy a nice meal on the soft sand of Pori, also enjoying the splendid panorama in which you are immersed! However, we recommend that you bring umbrellas and towels because this bay is not equipped.
How do I get to Pori beach?
Pori can be reached by taxi, bus and gulet. All three options are very convenient and valid. But for the more daring we recommend reaching it from Chora on foot, along the path along the coast that in less than an hour will make you come out on this huge oasis of peace. It goes without saying that this long walk along the coast offers spectacular scenery, so beautiful that you will almost certainly not feel the fatigue of the walk and once you arrive you will feel like you left the Chora just 5 minutes earlier!

In addition to the natural beauty offered by this beach, in its vicinity you can enjoy other extraordinary features, such as the two incredibly fascinating caves of Xilobatis, and those of Mati tou Diavolou, which offer an enchanting scenery given by the rippling waters that slip through between the rocks, and finally the bays of Gala and Tripiti, two inlets carved by the sea between the rocks.
