Santa Maria beach

Santa Maria beach is located near Naoussa, more precisely in Plastira bay, therefore on the north-east coast of the island of Paros. It is a beach that is divided into two: Santa Maria and Mikri Santa Maria. Both have soft golden sand that forms small dunes, a transparent emerald sea whose seabed slopes slowly and finally a splendid view of the island of Naxos, located right in front of this beautiful bay.


Is Santa Maria beach equipped?
In the beach of Santa Maria, which has become famous thanks to the "Santa Maria camping" located behind it, you can find clubs, restaurants and beach bars, for those who want to stop and enjoy a good aperitif accompanied by beautiful music from the most famous DJs ... and why not have it carried comfortably under an umbrella? In the taverns, during lunch time, fresh fish is served to the end ... in short ... a pleasure for the palate!

Santa Maria beach also offers various activities for those who, in addition to relaxing on the beach, also want to have fun: for this there are a beach volleyball court and centers for both diving and water sports in general, so that diving enthusiasts and experts watersports will have a great time! Surfing, kitesurfing, windsurfing, snorkeling ... in short, whoever has more will put more!

Obviously on the beach of Santa Maria there is no lack of sun beds and umbrellas where you can relax and shelter from the sun at a cost of € 25 per day (a little more expensive than the average). If, on the other hand, you are looking for a more wild relaxation, there are free beach areas where you can rest in the midst of nature.

Santa Maria beach is perfect both for young people looking for fun and for families with children. The bay, in addition to enjoying many comforts that make it comfortable, also enjoys a perfect position, which makes it less exposed to the feared Greek winds.

We suggest you get there early, because given its fame it could be a bit crowded and chaotic, and finding a free umbrella already in the late morning, could prove to be a treasure hunt!

How do you reach the Santa Maria beach?

Getting to the beach of Santa Maria is very simple and it is possible to do it in different ways: bus, car, scooter or with a water taxi that can be taken from the port of Naoussa. By land it is about 15 km from Parikia (the capital of the island of Paros) and it will take about 25 minutes.

In case you decide to use the bus, know that there is a stop right near the beach, while for the car you can park it in the large free parking located always near the bay.
