Psili Ammos beach

The beautiful beach of Psili Ammos is located 10 km south-west of Chora, one of the most visited tourist resorts in Patmos. Its name means "fine sand" and is one of the best beaches on the island. It is a picturesque bay with golden sand and large dunes, enriched by many tamarisks that provide some shade to the bathers and bathed by a blue and crystalline sea so beautiful that it will seem like you are inside a dream.

Is Psili Ammos beach equipped?

Once you arrive on Psili Ammos beach you will notice that its clear blue waters are the main attraction of the bay. If you are looking for a beach completely devoid of services and equipment, on which to relax and enjoy nature are the only things you want to do, well then you are on the bay tailor-made for you!
Due to Patmos' strong religious past, nudism is not fully accepted. In fact, there are various indications on the whole island which prohibit topless and naked bathing. However, with the growth of tourism, some things have changed and the faithful to nudist practices completely ignore the signs displayed; today naturists can gather at the southern end of the beach to relax and enjoy the day as they prefer.

How do you reach Psili Ammos beach?

To reach this little paradise, visitors can take one of the boats that leave regularly from Skala or take the bus to Diakofti and then walk for about 30 minutes.
There is no better place than Psili Ammos beach to enjoy the harmonious nature that boasts the beautiful island of Patmos!
