Anthony Quinn Bay

Are you looking for a little corner of paradise where you can relax, in a beautiful setting of emerald green sea and reddish rocks? Very well! Welcome to Anthony Quinn's Bay!

Anthony Quinn's Bay, originally called Vagies Bay, boasts one of the most beautiful landscapes on the island of Rhodes! It is located along the east coast just 4 kilometers south of Faliraki and upon arrival you will find a parking lot right next to the kiosk which serves sandwiches and drinks.

His current name is due to the actor Anthony Quinn, who played the part of Zorba the Greek in the movie "The Guns of Navarone" in 1961. The actor was so struck by its beauty that he decided to buy it and give it its name and when in 1990 he gave it back to the island of Rhodes, in his honor, the same name was kept.

Its flat stones allow you to sunbathe in total relaxation! Its backdrop of sand and rocks and its crystalline sea allow snorkelers to practice in these splendid multicolored waters full of numerous species of fish. Pine trees as well as frame it give Anthony Quinn Bay a picturesque setting!

Sun beds and umbrellas, no problem: you can find them for € 10 directly at the beach.

What can I say? Because of its immense beauty, Anthony Quinn's Bay is one of the most famous and visited bays of Rhodes island visitors!

And if there should be a slight languor? Don't worry: behind the beach you can find a ladder that will lead you to the bar / restaurant overlooking this little wonder.

At this point we give you a little advice ... but definitely very useful!

Try to arrive early in the morning if you wish to stop here, as mid-morning it may be difficult to find free umbrellas and it would be a real shame!

Anthony Quinn's Bay is a place where the shades of the sea are truly endless and for this reason it is absolutely one of the must-see stops on your trip to the island of Rhodes. Don't miss it!
