Perissa Beach

Perissa Beach

Description

Perissa beach is located in the southeastern part of the island of Santorini, 15 kilometers from Fira. It presents an extraordinary and fine sea and soft black sand mixed with pebbles. Here it is possible to use sunbeds and parasols free of charge but having a drink at the bar. It is divided from the Kamari beach by the Mesa Vouno mountain and behind it you will find a small village in classic Greek style, with white colored houses in contrast with the surrounding volcanic nature. A real treat for the eyes of the beholder!
Its waters are so beautiful and clean that the Blue Flag has been attributed to the bay. We are sure that when you arrive you will look forward to diving!

One thing we recommend to pay close attention to is entry into the water. Unfortunately, the entrance is characterized by pebbles that are a bit slippery, so be careful and if you have serious problems standing up on your own, try to help or avoid entering the water.

If you want to relax on the beautiful Perissa beach you just need to move to the ends of the beach, where you can enjoy absolute relaxation.
But still you will find little crowding on the entire bay due to its size.

It is very popular with young people for two reasons: the first is the presence of many places where you can sip a drink at sunset and listen to internationally renowned DJs who play until late at night. The second is the possibility of practicing countless water sports. The best is absolute snorkeling, its depths are splendid and all to explore. But there are so many sports to exercise, from jet skiing to paragliding!

In addition to these establishments there are also taverns and restaurants where you can enjoy excellent fish or good Greek food, all at very modest prices.
The area surrounding the bay is full of cheap hotels and apartments along with restaurants, bars, fashion shops, jewelry and beach equipment. Perissa is suitable for any visitor target. You can find from the simplest low coast snack bar to the most chic and fashionable venue at slightly higher prices. Furthermore, always in the area behind the beach, there is a pedestrian area, where cars cannot pass after 17.00, excellent for long evening walks. Very romantic!

Perissa beach is reachable from Fira with a bus that runs about every 20 minutes, but we warn you that often buses are quite full so if you prefer you can rent a car and get there in total independence.

This is a beach that you certainly can't miss!
