Porto Limnionas beach is a cove very similar to Porto Roxa, which is less than 2 km away. It is a natural wonder, a fantastic place for sea lovers. In this place, however, you will not find sand, but a long strip of cement and some rocks on which to place the towel. Higher up, there are some umbrellas and deckchairs placed on some terraces near the homonymous tavern.
Porto Limnionas is not recommended for those who love comfortable and full-featured sandy beaches, but it is without doubt one of the most beautiful places in Zakynthos.
Swimming in this small fjord of transparent water, of a thousand colors, is something indescribable. It really feels like swimming in a natural pool. Bring masks and flippers with you, because the seabed is full of fantastic fish and rocks. In some places the water is very cold because there are some fresh water streams coming from some springs in the subsoil.
The Porto Limnionas tavern is located at the point where you leave your vehicle. It offers a beautiful view of the bay, with tables of fresh marine pines. All this lends itself to a day at the beach to spend here in the morning until lunch. After, you can reach Porto Roxa, to stop a place that is just as beautiful and, certainly, less crowded.
