Egremni Beach

Egremni beach is undoubtedly the most loved by all its visitors on the island of Lefkada! A natural swimming pool where the blue of the sea merges with the blue of the sky!

We are located 40 km from the capital of Lefkada and 20 km from Vasiliki.

How can I reach Egremni Beach?

It is located on the south-west coast of the island of Lefkada and due to its rather secluded position, today it can be reached with organized excursions by sea (stopover in Egremni is 3 hours), with private boats rather than with taxis Boat, starting from all the ports of the island, of which the closest are Nikiana, Nydri and Vassiliki.

If you start from the closest point (from Vissiliki) we recommend taking the Ionian Princess d which departs around 9.30 in the morning, an hour to arrive and then you can enjoy Egremni from 10.30 to 13.30.

Before the earthquake of 17 November 2015, it could also be reached by land, arriving by car and then following the famous "Stairway to heaven" staircase of 347 steps, you could go down and you could enjoy this show. To date they have not yet rebuilt what has been destroyed and therefore only the sea route remains ... but this should not discourage you ... it is really exciting to see it approaching in all its splendor, wave after wave..Try to believe!

The departures from the different ports are at several hours in the morning and the last race for the return is at 16.00, when Egremni regains its beauty and returns to enjoy the sunset which within a few hours will color it with an intense orange color with shades of purple: a spectacle of nature as the sun dives into the turquoise waters

Is Egremni beach equipped?

Let's start by saying that without a doubt the beach of Egremni is one of the most fascinating not only in Lefkada and not only in Greece, but it is among the most fascinating in the world, like the Navagio Bay in Zakynthos or Elafonissi in Crete!

The beach is equipped with some rows of umbrellas and deck chairs. For 1 umbrella + 2 beds, the cost is around € 8 for the whole day.

Its fine sand that caresses you with every step, its rocky wall behind you and its colors ... or rather the shades of its blue color, are unique: you will remain unarmed in front of so much beauty!

The wind being a west-facing beach is often present, so before booking an excursion make sure that it is not present in large doses, otherwise the boat ride and your gippo perished on the beach may not be pleasant, of course! )
