Kalamitsi Beach

Kalamitsi Beach

Kalamitsi beach is located about 15 km from Lefkada Town. It is an unspoiled beach with a shoreline of pebbles (extraordinarily comfortable) mixed with sand, all strictly white and bathed by a clear sea with a thousand shades, from turquoise to dark blue. Large rocks surround the bay and give it a wilder scenery! For families with children we recommend paying a little more attention, the sea becomes almost immediately deep.

What do I find on Kalamitsi Beach?

Once you arrive you will notice that there are various coves, some equipped and others not. In the areas with services and facilities you can rent sunbeds and umbrellas, take a trip to the bar / kiosk where you can nibble on a snack, have a refreshing drink or have lunch directly choosing from the various meat or fish dishes of the house.

The equipped areas also have an emergency bathroom and showers to clean up the sand and the sea before getting back in the car.

For those who wish to stop in the free part, they can easily go there by crossing the rocks on the left (looking at the sea). Being a bit slippery, we recommend the use of shoes.

For parking, don't worry, there is plenty of it. You can park 100 meters before the beach for free or by paying € 5 you can leave the vehicle in the parking area of the beach.

How do I get to Kalamitsi Beach?

Getting there is very simple, by car you just need to travel the main road south if you are from Agios Nikitas or north if you are from Vasiliki. Afterwards you will have to cross a slightly winding but totally feasible and well-paved road that will take you through the beautiful olive groves. Shortly after you will find yourself in front of the splendid sea. From Agios Nikitas it will take 20 minutes, while from Vasiliki 40 minutes.

Get to know one of the most famous beaches in Lefkada. As well as one of the most unspoiled bays on this beautiful island!
