Paliochori Beach

Paliochori beach is located on the south coast of the island of Milos. It has sand mixed with multicolored pebbles, clear, crystalline water and red rocks behind it, due to their volcanic origin. If you notice some yellow parts and then smell a pungent smell, that is sulfur, which unfortunately, as you know, does not have a very pleasant smell. Moving you can also notice that in some places of the beach there are hot springs due to volcanic activity.

Is Paliochori beach equipped?

The Paliochori beach is divided into three parts: the first part is equipped with everything you need: rental of very comfortable sun beds and umbrellas for € 15 per day, bar where you can munch on a snack, a tavern where you can enjoy a good meal. plate of fresh fish and water sports centers, so lovers of fun in the water will be able to give themselves to mad joy; pedal boats, jet skis, canoes and whoever has more will put more!

Regarding the taverns, on the Paliochori beach there is a large stone where, thanks to the very hot sands that hide below, one of the taverns can cook volcanic dishes of any type (vegetables, meat, fish etc.), truly special ! There is also another restaurant located above the beach, where while you enjoy your delicious freshly baked fish dish, you can admire the splendid panorama that surrounds you.

The second part is perfect for those who want to relax in the midst of nature: climb over the rocks and you will find yourself in front of the free beach of Paliochori, characterized by pebbles and water that quickly becomes deep. Here you can lay your beach towel and enjoy relaxation in total tranquility, away from the crowd of umbrellas, with the only sound of the waves of the sea ... nothing short of splendid! To protect yourself from the sun you can go to the cave at the bottom of the bay, where you can enjoy the shade. In this free area of Paliochori you will certainly meet nudists, who love this part of the wildest beach and in contact with nature.

The third part of the bay is located to the right of the main beach, pass under the cliff and climb on the rocks. Alternatively you can reach it from the tavern, the one located above the beach. Once you arrive you can admire the beautiful amber pebbles and absolute calm! Heading towards the end of this area you will notice a hole inside the cliff in the sea, if you go inside you will enjoy the relaxing heat that emanates, a sort of natural sauna!
Outside, however, we advise you to dive to observe the bubbles that rise to the surface, due to underground activities.

How do you reach Paliochori beach?

You can reach the beach in three ways: by bus, taking it from Adamas, or by car or scooter. With the latter you will have the opportunity to admire the splendid panorama and maybe stop here and there to take a memorable photo.
