Lemonakia beach

Lemonakia beach is located 12 kilometers west of Vathi and only 2 kilometers from Kokkari. It is one of the most beautiful beaches in the northern part of the island of Samos. It boasts a picture composed of fine and clear sand mixed with pebbles that extends over 400 meters of bay along with a crystal clear sea, with turquoise and emerald colors, the latter recalled by the surrounding green vegetation. It's quite deep, so we don't recommend bathing children, or at least we suggest paying close attention.

On the whole, when you admire the Lemonakia beach you are witnessing a scenario with bright colors. As soon as you arrive, you will immediately fall in love with it, especially the hill full of vegetation and villas that can be admired behind it.
The seabed of the splendid waters is also sprinkled with multicolored pebbles of various sizes. To get into the sea, be careful not to slip, the best thing is to use the special rubber shoes and if you have motor problems, maybe get help while entering the water.

On Lemonakia beach you can rent umbrellas and sunbeds and when you get hungry you can go to the left end and enjoy a good lunch or coffee at the beautiful tavern overlooking the sea, so that while you enjoy what you have taken you can admire the splendid panorama of the beach!

Here, unfortunately, however, the strong north wind blows when it is there and the waves get really high, but attending such a suggestive and imposing show is a must. Lovers of Lemonakia beach are both visitors and local people, in fact it is quite popular with both. It must be said that its exotic charm does not escape anyone. This is a moment that you could use to get closer and get to know the locals better.

How to get to Lemonakia beach

Reaching it is very simple, just follow the path of the main road direct to Karlovasi, just before Tsamadou beach you will find Lemonakia beach immediately. For your information know that if you decide to reach it on foot you will have to follow a downhill path that leads to one side of the beach, while if you decide to use the car you will follow a road that takes you to the other end of the beach, where there is also a small parking lot.

Precisely for this small parking we advise you to go down on foot or to arrive as soon as possible. When neither visitors nor local people have arrived on the bay yet. Seeing it completely deserted will be the best show ever!
