Maratha Beach

Maratha Beach

Maratha Beach is 10 kilometers from Skiathos Town . It presents fine golden sand, a clear and turquoise sea and rich vegetation all around, more precisely a luxuriant pine forest that seems to embrace and protect the beach, giving it a bit of greenery. Everything extends into a small splendid beach. Precisely because of its size and its fame, it often crowds in high season; therefore for July and August we advise you to arrive there early, so that you can carve out your relaxing corner!

If you want to spend a relaxing day in a place equipped with all the necessary services but at the same time immersed in a context immersed in nature, don't miss this beach! And now let's find out more!

Is Maratha beach equipped?

Maratha beach has sun beds and umbrellas for those who prefer more comfortable relaxation and a tavern close to the coast where you can enjoy excellent fresh fish. When you feel like munching on a snack and sipping a drink, you can head to the bar, with background music, friendly staff and a well-maintained location.

For those who prefer to rest in quieter areas during their stay at the beach, away from mass tourism to be in contact with nature, it is sufficient to move to the free part of the beach. Here you can also enjoy the pine trees as an excellent shelter from the hot sun!

Any part of the beach, you choose, certainly once you get to the beach of Maratha, one of the first things we suggest you do is arm yourself with a mask and go exploring the bottom of these waters with a little snorkeling; the marine fauna and flora of Maratha are unique and deserve to be known and admired!

A curiosity of the beach of Maratha!

If you are lucky you will notice something bizarre on the beach of Maratha, such as an animal that you would never have expected to see: large and white swans swimming with tourists, in total relaxation (as in Koukounaries beach ). Impossible not to photograph them!
