We are in one of the 3 islands that are right in front of Skiathos Town: the other two islands are Tsougriaki and Arkos which unlike Tsougrias do not have organized tours that can accompany you so you will need to hire private boats if you wish to visit them.
To reach the beach of Tsougrias you will need to go and book a Taxi-Boat at the old port of Skiathos (10 € per person) which in just 20 minutes will take you to this fabulous beach that you will hardly forget and at the same time almost certainly you may want to see again.
The departure times of the tours are 10, 11 and 12 in the morning with a return at the choice of 16, 17 and 18 in the afternoon.
As soon as you arrive at Tsougrias beach you can rent for the whole day 2 sun loungers and 1 umbrella for only € 8 to be able to shelter you from the hot summer sun. Given also the total absence of wind, it could be quite hot and a bit of shade could be very welcome.
The beach is golden, with fine sand, surrounded by olive trees and a crystal clear sea that slopes gently, so it is also perfect for families with small children. Behind the beach of Tsougrias there is an immense pine forest where you can relax after a good bath or for a nice picnic surrounded by nature.
If you prefer a nice, typical Greek tavern, you will only have to cross a small hill with a path (not impervious) between trees and glades and you will reach a second small beach where you can relax for a lunch break facing the sea, making you serve some typical Greek dish with some good fresh fish.
